Lesson Policy

Music lessons at Music Speaks… are given on a half-hour basis under private instruction.  Tuition is paid monthly prior to the student his/her first lesson.  Based on half hour lessons, tuition is $100.00 per month and is billed on the 1st of the month.

A 24 hour notice is required for cancellations.  This notice will enable the student an opportunity to make up that lesson within a one week period. A no call or late call will be treated as a lesson attended.  Music Speaks… understands that “Life Happens”” and will work with the student/family and instructor to ensure a complete month of lessons are obtained if a 24 hour notice is given.  Students will receive a make up for each lesson that an instructor misses.  A qualified substitute instructor will be available in most cases to minimize cancelled lessons.

Delinquent Accounts:  Music Speaks… reserves the right to suspend or discontinue lessons of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling his/her financial obligation.  Music Speaks… reserves the right to charge a $15.00 late fee for those payments received after the 7th of each month.  If any student fall two months behind in their lesson payments, lessons will be automatically suspended until payment is received.

Vacations:  Proper notification must be given in advance for students vacations. Lessons will then be prorated for that month or made up by the instructor.

Holidays: Music Speaks… will be closed on all major holidays. Lessons will be made up for those scheduled on a holiday if it’s not in a Music Speaks vacation week.

Notice of Withdrawal: If for any reason lessons are to be terminated, Music Speaks must be notified one week prior to the final lesson. Lapsed attendance from lessons does not excuse a student form his or her obligation to pay.
